Attached is a copy of the matrix of resolutions that will be acted upon, as well as committee assignments of delegates and alternates.  The recommended club position is shown on the matrix.  A general membership meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 6:00 p.m., Hawaii time to confirm our club’s position on the resolutions.  Members who are unable to attend the meeting are urged to let Kaimo Muhlestein, KPHCC Lead Convention Coordinator, kaimomuhlestein@yahoo.com, know of any concerns they may have of any resolution and their recommendations on how the club should vote on the resolutions.  Club delegates represent the voice of our membership.
Note:  We recommend that KPHCC support the following resolutions, unless members wish to do otherwise:
  1. All remembrance and congratulatory resolutions since they are non-controversial, except that we will discuss 2021-P concerning president emeritus status for Jalna Keala and 2021-BE, recognizing Hewahewaʻs alignment with Kamehameha ‘Ekahi, as one of the last Puhiokaoka, chanter of the Kumulipo, prophetic counselor, keeper of Kūkāʻilikomu, master of lāʻau kāhea;
  2. All resolutions introduced by KPHCC;
  3. All resolutions adopted by the Oahu Council as we participated in discussions on those at the Oahu Council convention.
We shall be inviting a representative of the Princess Kahanu HCC to our meeting to explain their resolutions so that we may make a good decision of support or not.  Urge members to review especially those resolutions marked with a comment “Discuss”.

Members who have not been designated as delegate or alternate and who wish to attend the convention, please advise Leimomi at leimomikhan@gmail.com.  Registration is $25.
Mahalo for your support of this important work for the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
